*There will be one Gig Buddies staff member for up to 20 attendees (participants and volunteers combined). If you need extra support, please let us know if you plan on bringing a support worker/support person with you to this event.

Tell me about the gig: Join us for an afternoon filled with incredible local talent, food trucks and market stalls. Bring a picnic rug and sit back and enjoy the magic of Christmas.

Tell me more about the food and drink options: While food trucks are available, we encourage attendees to beat the queue and pack a picnic.

Meeting spot: Meet us inside the park, next to the children's play area - just off the car park (see image below).

This area is best accessed via the main entry to the Fagan Park.

How do I get there? Attendees are encouraged to drive, carpool or catch a taxi or Uber to the venue.

Public transport options are limited and infrequent.

Parking: There are two car park areas, the main carpark entrance is located off Arcadia Road (see below for entry image) and another carpark off Carrs Road.

Parking costs $6.50/per motor vehicle.

Both the Arcadia Road and Carrs Road carparks each have two Pay and Display Ticket machines (PDTM): All machines accept credit card payments with one machine at each car park accepting both card and coin. Please note no change is provided if paying via coin.

How will I get home? We're encouraging attendees to plan ahead. Please note, transports to and from the venue is not supplied. Attendees are required to make their own way to and from the venue.

What else do I need to bring? We encourage attendees to bring the following:

- picnic

- picnic blanket

- something warm to wear

- hat, sunglasses, sun cream

- money (debit card) to make purchases from food trucks or market stalls

Don’t forget your Opal card if catching public transport, and your phone or camera to take photos.

How do I join? Register by getting a ticket from this page (click 'add to bag' in the top right hand corner and enter your details)

Please note:

1 Cancellation policy: please contact the Gig Buddies' team if you can no longer attend.

2 Gig Buddies staff will be in attendance, but will not be on hand to provide individual support. Support staff and family are welcome (please include details with any ticket booking).

3 Getting there: Transport to and from the venue is not supplied. Attendees are responsible for making their own way to and from the venue.

4 Getting home: Gig Buddies staff may help attendees with catching public transport, taxis or Ubers home - up until 30 minutes after the scheduled end; Gig Buddies staff are unable to assist attendees who remain at the venue beyond this time.

5 Attendees do not need to be paired with a gig buddy to join us. All signed up participants with a current service agreement or volunteers who have completed compliance are welcome to join us.

6 COVID-19: If you’re feeling unwell we ask that you do not attend.

Gig Buddies takes no responsibility in the event of an attendee falling ill following our outings.

7 Attendees will be notified by text and/or phone call should the event get cancelled.

*** Gig Buddies socials are for signed up participants and volunteers of the project. Participants that require extra support must let the Gig Buddies team know if they will be bringing along a support worker or family member to an event. Thank you. ***
