The need for niche

This week we made a splash at the NDS NSW 2016 Annual Conference ‘Shaping the Future: Preparing for Change’.

Fran Connelley, author of ‘How to Thrive under the NDIS’ and one of the speakers on day two of the conference, spoke of Gig Buddies Sydney and its parent company, Assisted Community Living Ltd T/A ACL Disability Services, as an example of a disability organisation “owning its market segment”.

Fran’s ‘The Need for Niche’ presentation outlined that disability organisations - in order to thrive and survive with the pending increase in competition following the imminent introduction of the NDIS to the Sydney region - need to “leverage niche for longterm growth”, as the disability industry is set to become an “entirely new workplace”.

As an initiative of Assisted Community Living Ltd T/A ACL Disability Services - an organisation entering its 50th year of providing support to adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities - Gig Buddies Sydney is well positioned to compliment ACL’s longterm future.
