What are Gig Buddies Group Social Events?

Gig Buddies group social events are hosted by the GB team so that all signed-up participants and volunteers in the Gig Buddies project can catch up and do fun stuff in a group setting. 

Monthly group social events are held all over Metro Sydney and Central Coast. 

The main focus of the Gig Buddies project is to "buddy-up" participants and volunteers so they can catch up and go to their own events together.

Gig Buddies group social events are a "bonus" way for participants to meet people and socialise.

All group social events are run as "not-for-profit".

 Participants only pay for a group social event if they need to cover the cost of admission tickets, venue hire and/or catering.

Group social events are included* as part of being in the Gig Buddies project.

What:

Step into 'Echoes' to experience a captivating, night time sound and light show journeying through the rich history of Bella Vista Farm

What's included

  • Travel along the reimagined convict road, wander through fluorescent flower fields and witness the stargazing stories of the Dharug People, along with early pioneers, Elizabeth and John Macarthur
  • The night walk features custom soundscapes, vibrant light installations, pulsating special effects and unmissable interactive zones
  • An evening filled with multi-sensory fun, wonder, light and excitement. Make a night of it by enjoying a meal from one of the delicious food trucks on-site

*There will be one Gig Buddies staff member for up to 20 attendees (participants and volunteers combined). If you need extra support, please let us know if you plan on bringing a support worker/support person with you to this event.

Complimentary Shuttle Bus:
A free shuttle bus will be operating between Bella Vista Metro Station and Bella Vista Farm. The bus runs
frequently from Bella Vista Metro Station (Mawson Avenue) to Bella Vista Farm (Norwest Blvd Bus stop) between: 5.45pm-10pm

Parking:
General parking & accessible parking available is available in the outer grounds of the farm, just inside the entrance. Access via Elizabeth Macarthur Drive, Norwest. However, parking is limited and there is a walk to the entrance, so please arrive 10 minutes early if you plan on driving.

Cost: $17.50

Once you've signed up for this event, Gig Buddies will send you a link to pay for your online ticket through the Echoes at Bella Vista Farm Website.

The session we will be attending is the 7pm session.

Food can be purchased from onsite Food Trucks.

Dress code: Casual and comfortable

Please be aware: Photosensitivity trigger warning - this event contains flashing lights or patterns that could be triggering for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other forms of light sensitivity.

What else do I need to bring?

  • Money for purchasing your food and drink
  • ID
  • Don’t forget your Opal card if catching public transport
  • Phone for pictures and finding staff
  • Mask and sanitiser if you wish

How do I join? Register by getting a ticket from this page (click 'add to bag' in the top right hand corner and enter your details)

Please note:

  1. Attendees must bring ID.
  2. Gig Buddies staff will be in attendance, but will not be on hand to provide individual support.
  3. Getting there: Transport to and from the venue is not supplied. Attendees are responsible for making their own way to and from the venue.
  4. Getting home: Gig Buddies staff may help attendees with catching public transport, taxis or Ubers home - up until 30 minutes after the scheduled end; Gig Buddies staff are unable to assist attendees who remain at the venue beyond this time.
  5. Attendees do not need to be paired with a gig buddy to join us. All signed up participants with a current service agreement or volunteers who have completed compliance are welcome to join us.
  6. COVID-19: If you’re feeling unwell we ask that you do not attend.
  7. Participants who require extra support must let the Gig Buddies team know if they will be bringing along a support worker or family member to an event. Thank you.
