What are Gig Buddies Group Social Events?
Gig Buddies group social events are hosted by the GB team so that all signed-up participants and volunteers in the Gig Buddies project can catch up and do fun stuff in a group setting.

Monthly group social events are held all over Metro Sydney and Central Coast.
The main focus of the Gig Buddies project is to "buddy-up" participants and volunteers so they can catch up and go to their own events together.

Gig Buddies group social events are a "bonus" way for participants to meet people and socialise.
All group social events are run as "not-for-profit".
Participants only pay for a group social event if they need to cover the cost of admission tickets, venue hire and/or catering.

Group social events are included* as part of being in the Gig Buddies project.
* participants pay for their own food and drinks (unless a catered event)
Gig Buddies trivia fundraiser - Monday 7 September
What: Gig Buddies trivia fundraiser
Where: Keg and Brew, 26 Foveaux St, Surry Hills 2010 (see map below)

Tell me about the gig: We’re organising our first ever trivia fundraising event - with all money raised going towards reducing the cost of our Christmas party.
To help us generate as much moolah as possible, we’re inviting our community to join us for our very own battle of wits. Expect fun, prizes, giveaways and good times!
Why are we fundraising? We’re currently working on finding a suitable and cost effective venue for our Christmas party. Booking a hotel that will host over 100 attendees during the busy festive period is an expensive business.
Therefore, to assist with the unavoidable expenses, we’re hosting our first ever fundraiser - and we’re calling on the Gig Buddies’ community to get involved.
What can I expect on the night? Trivia, a raffle, good company, plenty of laughs.
Whether trivia is your jam or not, our fundraiser will be a night of fun, prizes, giveaways and good times!
On the night we’ll also be holding a raffle. So far we have secured some AMAZING prizes - we look forward to sharing more information about this nearer the time.
Attendees can also expect games and giveaways.
When will raffle tickets go on sale? Raffle tickets can be bought by clicking here.
Tell me about the prizes: We’ve got 20 AMAZING prizes to give away on the night of our trivia fundraiser, worth over $2,700 in value!
We are incredibly grateful to the following organisations for generously donating prizes to our raffle:

- Luna Park Sydney - Four tickets
- Young Henrys, Newtown - Brewery tour and tasting experience for 13
- Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, Doonside - Family pass
- Sydney Cricket Ground - $100 guided walking tour gift voucher

How much are raffle tickets? We’re calling on the Gig Buddies’ community and their friends, family, colleagues, neighbours and anyone else in between, to support our cause by buying a ticket or two.
Tickets to our raffle cost the following:
1 ticket: $2.00
6 tickets: $10.00 ($1.67 per ticket)
13 tickets: $20.00 ($1.54 per ticket)
35 tickets: $50.00 ($1.43 per ticket)
As per the breakdown above, the more you buy the cheaper they become!
Can I bring a friend or family member? Family and friends of buddies and volunteers are welcome to join us on the night.
For safeguarding purposes, those not signed up with Gig Buddies will have to complete an online registration form prior to the event (we will contact those who are not registered via email with a link).
