Tell me about the gig:

We’ll start the night with an hour of karaoke at Strike Bowling, singing our hearts out.

Since we will work up an appetite, we’ll head next door to The Sporting Globe to enjoy a bite to eat.

*There will be one Gig Buddies staff member and one group social support volunteer for up to 20 attendees (participants and volunteers combined). If you need extra support, please let us know if you plan on bringing a support worker/support person with you to this event.

When: Saturday 18th of April

What time do we meet? 5pm meet for one hour of Karaoke and then head next door to have a bite to eat at 6pm.

What time does it end? 7:30pm approximately. Depends on how busy the venue is with orders.

*You can leave earlier if you want to.

Cost: Karaoke costs $10 each for people with a disability and is free for a support workers or a volunteer. Payment to the venue on the day of the event.

Please bring money for any food , drink or transport.

Smart casual clothing.

What else do I need to bring?

• Money for food / drinks.
• ID
• Don’t forget your Opal card if catching public transport.
• Phone for pictures and finding staff
• Water to stay hydrated
• Comfortable clothing and layers. The Karaoke room can get hot.

Accessibility:

• Both venues are accessible.
• There is a mix of high and low tables at the restaurant. I have requested for a lower table.
• This event will be loud with music playing , singing and dancing. Please bring noise cancelling headphones or fidgets if needed. There are areas in the venue or outside to take a break.

How do I join? Register by getting a ticket from this page (click 'add to bag' in the top right hand corner and enter your details)

Please note:

1. Attendees must bring ID.
2. Gig Buddies staff will be in attendance, but will not be on hand to provide individual support.
3. Getting there: Transport to and from the venue is not supplied. Attendees are responsible for making their own way to and from the venue.
4. Getting home: Gig Buddies staff may help attendees with catching public transport, taxis or Ubers home - up until 30 minutes after the scheduled end; Gig Buddies staff are unable to assist attendees who remain at the venue beyond this time.
5. Attendees do not need to be paired with a gig buddy to join us. All signed up participants with a current service agreement or volunteers who have completed compliance are welcome to join us.
6. COVID-19: If you’re feeling unwell we ask that you do not attend.
7. Participants who require extra support must let the Gig Buddies team know if they will be bringing along a support worker or family member to an event. Thank you.
