What are Gig Buddies Group Social Events?
Gig Buddies group social events are hosted by the GB team so that all signed-up participants and volunteers in the Gig Buddies project can catch up and do fun stuff in a group setting.
Monthly group social events are held all over Metro Sydney and Central Coast.
The main focus of the Gig Buddies project is to "buddy-up" participants and volunteers so they can catch up and go to their own events together.
Gig Buddies group social events are a "bonus" way for participants to meet people and socialise.
All group social events are run as "not-for-profit".
Participants only pay for a group social event if they need to cover the cost of admission tickets, venue hire and/or catering.
Group social events are included* as part of being in the Gig Buddies project.
* participants pay for their own food and drinks (unless a catered event)

Get ready for a double header at St. George Venues Jubilee Stadium. The last home game for the season at Kogarah.

*There will be one Gig Buddies staff member and one group social support volunteer for up to 20 attendees (participants and volunteers combined). If you need extra support, please let us know if you plan on bringing a support worker/support person with you to this event.
When: Sunday 9th of August
What time do we meet? 1:25 pm to watch both games.
Kick of NRLW: 1.35pm (Dragons v Wests Tigers).
Kick off NRL: 4.05pm (Dragons v Sharks).

What time does it end? Around 5:45pm
Cost:
Adult $39.50 inc booking fee
Concession $34.50 inc booking fee
Free for support workers and volunteers who's buddy has a companion card.
Please also bring money for any food , drink or transport.
Meeting spot:
Outside of the entry gates if you are joining for the NRLW.
Otherwise meet us inside at the seats if you arrive later.

Food:
They will have a variety of food trucks at the event. Bring your own food and snacks if you wish.
Dress code:
You can dress up in medieval theme if that's your vibe or wear comfy clothes. Either way wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
What else do I need to bring?
- Money for food and drinks.
- Your companion card if you have one.
- Don’t forget your Opal card if catching public transport.
- Phone for pictures and finding staff
- Water to stay hydrated.
- Sun protection.
- A jacket. Rain or wind protection.
Accessibility:
- This event will be loud. People are passionate about their team and sport. There will be potential yelling and swearing.
- Bring noise cancelling headphones if needed.
- There are areas in the venue to have a break if you need a place that is quiet for a moment.

How do I join? Register by getting a ticket from this page (click 'add to bag' in the top right hand corner and enter your details)
Please note:
- Attendees must bring ID.
- Gig Buddies staff will be in attendance, but will not be on hand to provide individual support.
- Getting there: Transport to and from the venue is not supplied. Attendees are responsible for making their own way to and from the venue.
- Getting home: Gig Buddies staff may help attendees with catching public transport, taxis or Ubers home - up until 30 minutes after the scheduled end; Gig Buddies staff are unable to assist attendees who remain at the venue beyond this time.
- Attendees do not need to be paired with a gig buddy to join us. All signed up participants with a current service agreement or volunteers who have completed compliance are welcome to join us.
- COVID-19: If you’re feeling unwell we ask that you do not attend.
- Participants who require extra support must let the Gig Buddies team know if they will be bringing along a support worker or family member to an event. Thank you.
