Introducing our latest gig buddy pairing…

As part of the pairing process between gig buddy and volunteer, a GBS team member accompanies them on their first gig.

On Saturday (9/7) I joined gig buddy Adrian (below left) and his volunteer, Andrew, for their first event – the AFL match between GWS Giants and Collingwood.

For Adrian, it was his first live AFL experience: “It’s good to watch it in the stadium rather than at home on my own.”

Played in front of 13,483 fans at the Spotless Stadium, it was also Andrew’s first taste of AFL: “I enjoyed the atmosphere and I’d definitely come again”.

In other news, we’ve had a strong response to last week’s blog detailing our next Gig Buddies Sydney social. We’ve still got room on the guest list, and should you want to join us in Petersham on August 5th get in contact by clicking here.
