We’re in the process of preparing to take Gig Buddies Sydney to a national audience.

Next month we will be presenting at the Arts Activated - Pathways to Success Conference, taking place at Sydney’s Carriageworks from Tuesday 20th to Wednesday 21st September.

Both Carol, Gig Buddies Sydney CEO, and myself will be taking to the stage on day two (21/9), discussing ideas around “valuing the audience experience” - exploring new considerations and techniques for audience development.

Featuring over 50 speakers, the underlying themes for the event include “exploring the varied paths that artists with disability take in developing their practice”, along with “discussing how organisations are fostering pathways for artists and audiences with disability”.

Last Saturday (27/8) we began the fine-tuning process, presenting the pitch to our board.

Should you wish to come along, tickets to the conference are available from the Arts Activated website.
