We’re excited to bring you news of a Gig Buddies Sydney first.
Back in November we headed to Mona Vale’s Modus Operandi for a social event, and on the night we informed those in attendance about our intentions to increase our reach across the Northern Beaches.
Well, from next Monday (4/2) onwards we’ll be doing just that!
Over the next six weeks participants will be able to engage with Gig Buddies Sydney staff at the following locations (Please note date changes):
*Monday 4th February: 11.30am - 2.30pm. The Tramshed, 1395A Pittwater Road, Narrabeen
*EDIT**Wednesday 20th February: 9.45am - 2pm. Seaforth Village Community Centre, 550 Sydney Road, Seaforth
*Monday 4th March: 11.30am - 2.30pm. The Tramshed, 1395A Pittwater Road, Narrabeen
*EDIT**Wednesday 20th March: 9.45am - 2pm. Seaforth Village Community Centre, 550 Sydney Road, Seaforth
As we continue to expand our reach, we’re looking to set up ‘Gig Buddies Sydney hubs’ - and we’re excited to announce that the Northern Beaches will be home to our first sub branch.
If you reside on the Northern Beaches and would like to find out more about our services, get in touch to make an appointment. We can be reached by phone, 02 9419 6951, Facebook Messenger or via email, info@gigbuddiessydney.org
Following the final scheduled date in March we’ll be reverting to one meeting a month, more of which will be revealed in due course. Our newly established presence on the Northern Beaches coincides with our fourth birthday, taking place at Balgowlah RSL on Saturday 23 February - more of which can be found here.
Dress to impress
Did we mention that the best dressed person will win a $100 Balgowlah RSL Wine Room Voucher? Big wigs and fluro gear is not required, but comes highly recommended.
As for the here and now, it’s been another busy week at Gig Buddies Sydney HQ.
Firstly we held our second training session of the year, readying five more volunteers. We’re delighted to have Kelly, Vivien, Briar, Andrew and Jye (above, L - R) on board.
And last Thursday we paired buddies Ben and Abbie (above), while Natalie and Emily (below, L - R) attended their first event - the Star Wars Identities Exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum.
