Add some triumph to your tax return

With the end of the financial year almost upon us, why not make a tax deductible donation to Gig Buddies?

With 29 days to go until the end of the tax year, now is the time to consider a contribution to our cause.

All donations over $2 can be reclaimed from July 1st - hopefully a tempting reason to temporarily part with your hard earned and help us tackle social isolation for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities and/or autism.

To contribute to our cause, click here.

Please note: a receipt will be issued upon donation, please keep a record for your own tax purposes.

Front and centre

As reported in last week’s newsletter, Kai, Development Officer with Gig Buddies Cymru (Wales), recently wrapped up his work in Sydney.

Before departing, he, alongside Tony and buddies John and Nick, headed to Oxford Art Factory to see British band, Getdown Services.

Both Ben and Josh from the band were willing recipients of Gig Buddies Sydney t-shirts and, during their set, had this to say to a packed out audience (press play on the clip below).

What a beautiful gesture from Getdown Services - and a wonderful parting gift from Kai for organising the meet and greet.

Pinch, punch, it's the first of the month

Winter may be upon us, but we’ve got plenty to keep you active.

Between now and the end of July we’re staging a whopping 23 socials - and tickets are starting to shift.

Starting with this month, in June we’re meeting up for singing, line dancing, bites to eat, rock climbing, live music, art, NRL, and World Cup soccer.

As highlighted by the clip above, the action starts this Thursday. To join us in Woollahara, Petersham, Lidcombe, Brookvale, Eveleigh, Killara, Sydney CBD, North Sydney or Gosford, load up the links below.

Please note, the rainbow trivia, mini golf and Sunday roast gatherings are all fully booked.

Join us in July

And as for July, we’re inviting buddies to join us for pub trivia, comedy, Winterfest, movies, markets, walks, DigiPark, Mexican and arcades, dinners, and two Christmas in July gatherings.

The darling gigs of May

If you would like to know more about what goes on at one of our socials, look no further.

During the month of May we caught up with buddies in Macarthur Square, Brookvale, Cabramatta, Revesby, Rozelle, Davistown, Erina and Newtown.

Of our EIGHT catch ups, we connected with buddies over breakfast and board games, trivia and dinners, DJ bingo, art, Sunday lunch, arcades and, of course, our 11th birthday party!

Thanks to everyone who joined us. To see more snaps, click here.

All go in April

And in the midst of our May movements, we forgot to share our highlights reel from April!

During the month we hosted TEN socials, catching up with buddies in Wyoming, Castle Hill, Petersham, Manly, Parramatta, Lane Cove, Darling Harbour, Kogarah, Moore Park and Eastwood.

Bowling, movies, live music, museum tours, dinners out, Timezone arcades, karaoke and trivia - we achieved plenty. To see more photos from our April outings, click here.

Out of office
