Gigs, gigs, gigs

Our summer schedule has landed.


Starting this Friday (10/1) at the Sydney Festival, we’re excited to reveal the events that we’ll be attending between now and April.


In January you'll find us at the following:


- Two Crews: Friday 10 January, Carriageworks: 7 - 8pm: Limited (free) tickets available here

- Laser Beak Man: Sunday 12 January, Drama Theatre, Sydney Opera House (relaxed performance): 2 - 3:15pm: Limited (free) tickets available here

- Holly Herndon: Thursday 16 January, Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent, Hyde Park: 10.30 - 11:45pm: Limited (free) tickets available here

- Time Flies: Saturday 18 January, Seymour Centre: 6 - 7:15pm: Limited (free) tickets available here

- Opera in the Domain: Saturday 18 January, the Domain: 8 - 10pm: Unlimited tickets available here

*booking is essential for all Gig Buddies events

We can’t thank Sydney Festival enough. Once again they’ve generously provided us with free access to a number of top-notch gigs, and we’re throughly looking forward to kicking things off this Friday.


Sydney Festival events aside, we have the following planned for February:


- Gig Buddies Sydney 5th birthday: Thursday 13 February, Shakespeare Hotel, 200 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills (pictured below): 7 - 11pm - $10 tickets here

- T20 Women’s Cricket World Cup: Australia vs. India (the tournament’s opening game): Friday 21 February, Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park: 7 - 10:30pm - $22 tickets here

What about spring?


And then there’s the three gigs we have planned for March:


- Barefoot bowling at Waverley Bowling Club: Thursday 5 March, 163 Birrell Street, Waverley: 6:15 - 8:15pm


- A League: Sydney FC vs. Perth Glory: Saturday 14 March, Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah: 5pm kick off


- Taco Tuesdays @ Bondi Rumba: Tuesday 24 March, 139 Glenayr Avenue, Bondi Beach: 6 - 9pm


Finally, prior to the Easter break, we have one event penciled in the diary for April:


- Barefoot bowling at Manly Bowling Club: Tuesday 7 April, 59 Raglan Street, Manly: 6:15 - 8:15pm

Come work with us


In other news, we’re recruiting once again - this time looking for an Inner West Gig Buddies coordinator.


Working four days per fortnight, we’re looking to hire someone from the area to raise awareness of the project and increase the number of paired up buddies.
