Take two

Some five weeks after our epic takeover of The Australian Maritime Museum to celebrate our tenth birthday, we’ve cut, edited and uploaded another video recorded during the occasion.

We wanted to know: "What does Gig Buddies mean to you?"

The clip above perfectly summarises what we’re all about: people catching up, going to gigs together, having fun, making new friends.

Thank you to everyone who jumped in front of our camera. To hear what Gig Buddies means to those who attended our tenth, press play on the clip above.

"The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy"

National NAIDOC Week is upon us.

NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. At Gig Buddies we stand in unison with this year’s theme: The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.

This theme celebrates the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week and focuses on the achievements of the past while looking towards a bright future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It also highlights the importance of young leaders, strong communities, and the legacies of ancestors.
